About the 2024 Honda Odyssey
The 2024 Odyssey carried over from 2023 as an eight-passenger minivan with power sliding doors on both sides. Its 3.5-liter V6 produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the front wheels through a 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters. Honda did not offer all-wheel drive, but a Snow Mode traction setting is standard. All five trims include Honda Sensing, blind spot monitoring, and an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring for iPhone and Android users.
A minivan may seem big for Brooklyn, but sliding doors earn their keep at the curb. They open wide in a tight space without swinging into the car beside you, which matters when you buckle a toddler in on a narrow Bensonhurst block. The Magic Slide second-row seats shift sideways for easy third-row access, and the deep cargo well takes a stroller or a big grocery haul.

Which 2024 Odyssey Trim Fits You
- EX — the entry version, with cloth upholstery, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control.
- EX-L — brings leather-trimmed seating, a one-touch moonroof, a power tailgate, and driver's seat memory, which makes it the most balanced pick for many households.
- Sport — dresses the van in gloss black 19-inch wheels, black mirrors, and red ambient lighting. The larger wheels transmit more of each bump.
- Touring — adds a rear entertainment screen, the CabinWatch camera, CabinTalk through headphones, navigation, and front and rear parking sensors for long drives with kids.
- Elite — the flagship, with a 500-watt, 11-speaker sound system, a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, and a hands-free power tailgate.
Features can differ from van to van, so review the individual listings above for the trim and options on each one.
What to Check on a Used 2024 Honda Odyssey
Most 2024 Odysseys have spent their early years hauling families, sports teams, and luggage, so condition depends on the life each one led. Look at these areas first:
- Factory coverage status. Honda's warranties start on the date the van was first sold. Some 2024 models may still have new-vehicle coverage, and many may still have powertrain protection. We can look up the VIN.
- Odometer versus age. Road trips add highway miles fast, while school drop-offs wear brakes on short hops.
- Sliding doors and tailgate. Cycle both power doors and the tailgate several times. Listen for grinding, and make sure each door reverses when it meets an obstacle.
- Second- and third-row seats. Slide the Magic Slide seats, lift out the center seat, and fold the third row to confirm every latch releases smoothly.
- Rear-seat tech on Touring and Elite. Power up the entertainment screen, try both headsets, and check the CabinWatch view.
- HondaTrue Certified status. A 2024 van might be eligible for HondaTrue Certified depending on its age, odometer reading, and inspection results. We can tell you which units currently carry it.
- Records and open recalls. Ask for proof that Maintenance Minder codes were handled promptly, review the history report, and have us run the VIN for any open recalls.
